This place is obviously popular with locals who have been coming here for decades. Average age of diners was about 70. The food was terrible: just the worst kind of US cooking: bland dishes poorly done. I give it two stars coz 1/ I should have known better, and 2/ the zucchini was ok. Menu focussed on seafood but not especially fresh and cooking not of a high standard. The place smelled of dirty carpet. Excellent food and so close to a 5 star review from me! Firstly, the service was on point. Our server was great and even though our meal was delayed she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Without a doubt 5 stars for service! I really enjoyed the clams, both the steamers and casino appetizer were great. I only wish I asked for more bread with the steamers because the sauce was amazing. Others in my party also enjoyed their soups. When picking a main I made sure to stick with something that was locally sourced (for freshness) and I was not let down. I had the sword and it was excellent. It tasted fresh, was cooked perfectly and again the sauce was amazing. My GF ended up dipping her food into my sauce so that says something! Everyone who picked an entree that was sourced/caught locally was impressed. I enjoyed my beer and everything I ordered I would get again. The two things that were not really that impressive were the calamari and fried fish sandwich, both were bland. The calamari was chewy and the fried fish tasted as though it was frozen. It was a great portion and if you aren't that into seafood but still want to get something to kind of pretend you are it's an incredibly basic option that nearly anyone could eat (especially since it's fried) but that's all. Compared to last year, we were let down. We bragged about this place to our friends and family and had a group of 6 this year instead of 3 last year. Food portions were skimpy, except for the parmigiana dishes. Seafood overpriced and were more like appetizers than entrees. My husband looked like he was going to cry. He was still hungry. My daughter shared her bland flounder dish with him. Which was helpful but not satisfying. The zucchini was soooooo salty and garlicky, no one could eat it. I brought it home and tried to wash it off to no avail. Wound up throwing it out. My friend got a Caesar salad which was huge but all lettuce with a couple croutons and a couple shavings of cheese. The blueberry muffins were my favorite. Pretty sad. The lady with the dessert tray went wizzing by so we did not even have an option to get dessert. The picture was nice and well priced for $10. Cheapest thing in the restaurant I bought a hoodie last year which was awesome This year they did not compare. Still like the experience. The theme changes outdoors but inside seemed the same. Waiter was nice but not super attentive. No silverware. Felt rushed. Will wait few years before going back. The reservation process is very good though. Everything else needs a redo. Sorry. Tara P. Friends recommended this place. After looking through their website, I knew I would enjoy this family oriented establishment. The menu offered a really nice selection. The service was great! We were so hungry and the order was served quickly and EVERY THING ordered was beautifully plated and tasted amazing! They even made the, unpopular yet very flavorful, Apricot Sour drink my sister-in-law asked for. Such a great place for dinner! Love the little shop and the eclectic decorations throughout the restaurant. Would highly recommend. It is well worth the wait! Amazing experience. Halloween atmosphere is top notch and you can tell they spend a lot of time putting it all together. Really nothing like it in CMC. Sat us 20 minutes early after we made a reservation nearly 2 months in advance. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was phenomenal and came out quickly, fresh and hot. Had lobster tails, crab imperial and side salads. Tomato app was also delicious. Can’t say enough about this local restaurant. It was packed but the attentiveness and food quality made us feel like we were the only ones there. We can’t wait to make reservations for the Halloween dinner next year and look forward to visiting more next season! Service was very good. We had reservations and was seated promptly. Was disappointed that a $200 bill didn't come with free soda refills, nor was it mentioned. French onion soup was very good. The broth was rich and flavorful. The chicken parm was okay but you sort of expect that at a seafood restaurant. The salmon and fish platter were fresh and delicious. The mozzarella app was bland and came out warm. All in all was a nice meal. We were lucky enough to have Jen as our server, and she truly made our night! I ordered a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, and when she said they didn’t have stuffed olives, I jokingly asked if she could make them herself. To my surprise, she came back with freshly stuffed olives that she had prepared just for me! That kind of thoughtfulness and effort is so rare—it absolutely floored me. The rest of the meal was fantastic, but Jen’s amazing service and work ethic really stood out and made the whole evening unforgettable. Thank you, Jen, for going above and beyond. The quality has gone down the last few times we went and prices went up. Crab cakes were heavily breaded, the crab imperial was burnt and looked like broiled crab cakes, not traditional crab imperial. Chicken parm is excellent but it's not the meal I want while down at the shore. Beer list is beyond generic. More

Menz Restaurant & Bar offers fine dining with a family owned feel. The food was absolutely amazing. The portions are generous, and there are a lot of great options on the menu. The service and staff were excellent and overall Menz Restaurant & Bar after one visit has become one of our favorite restaurants at the jersey shore!

Place is awesome ,it’s big and decorated with all types of awesome stuff…lots to look at .Good for big families or large dinner parties .Even had a photographer walking around taking your pics and putting them in a Menz paper frame for a great souvenir only 10$!!worth it ,we loved ours! Old and traditional. An experience. I truly love this place. My only gripe is I want a house salad with my main meal, that’s it. Food was delicious, oysters were fresh and outstanding. Tour the property it is so beautiful and obscure at the same time. Highly recommend, just don’t get the spaghetti and meatballs. French onion soup and calamari were knee numbingly delicious.
